Production Apprentices will be fully integrated with staff/crew during the O’Neill Summer Season. They will work closest with the audio and lighting departments in constructing, focusing, operating, and maintaining the equipment packages for one main outdoor venue and at least two secondary outdoor stages. Production Apprentices will assist the Production Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager during rehearsals for the National Playwrights Conference, National Music Theater Conference and Cabaret & Performance Conference.
Applicants are expected to have a basic knowledge of sound and/or lighting systems, equipment maintenance, sound/lighting software, and backstage etiquette. The ideal applicant will have an interest in Production with deeper knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Lighting, Audio, Stage Management, or outdoor theater. Strong team oriented work ethic is a must! Additionally, this position may have the opportunity to assist Artistic Directors, Associate Producer, and work in an administrative capacity during certain moments. Should be able to lift 50lbs.
